RATING: 3 Stars out of 5
Christopher Hart is probably my favorite author of drawing books. I have a number of his books and they are a delight to use as well just flipping through the pages. His newest, out October 4, doesn’t quite measure up to his earlier books. But is still probably better than a lot of drawing books out there.
One of my problems with Doodletopia: Fairies is that it is interactive, which is a big word meaning you can draw in the book. Personally, I’d rather have it clear, that you need a separate piece of paper to draw on. Even so Hart’s fairies are delightful and a great way to get in to drawing people. It’s for older kids (age 8 and above) who can draw detail.
3 stars out of 5.
Have a great weekend–
