If you can only read one Marie Kondo book, this is the one. It’s advertised as a companion to her first, The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up, but most of her earlier work is pretty much included in this one (except the anecdotes).  But Spark Joy has the detail and plan of attack I so needed with the first. For example, Spark Joy has the illustrations for the folding that is so integral to Kondo’s concept. And each room and category is discussed in detail.
Don’t get me wrong, I did fine with the first book. But Spark Joy has given me the tools to fine tune what I’ve done so far. AND if you read my earlier review on Tidying Up – I’m thrilled to share that Spark Joy is a much smoother read as the editing has improved enormously.
If you’re looking to minimize, to organize or just be neater, check this one out.
Have a good week!
